Supply Chain Generalist

-Procurement, sourcing, buying materials, finding vendors, and negotiating basic contracts. -Liaise with clients to understand project requirements for supply of materials and services. -Collaborate with project teams to align material and service requirements with schedules. -Prepare purchase orders in compliance with company policies and client requirements. -Inventory and materials management including monitoring stock levels, forecasting demand and reducing waste. -Logistics and warehousing including coordinating shipping, track deliveries, and manage storage or distribution. -Process optimization to improve overall efficiency. -Maintain accurate records and reporting. -Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. -Data entry of purchasing transactions. Qualifications You will need a Degree in Supply Chain, Business Commerce or related field. -Previous experience in supply chain in an engineering or construction environment is preferred. -Strong negotiation skills. -Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. -Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with colleagues. -Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. -A hands-on approach to problem-solving and an eagerness to learn. -Ability to anticipate next steps in the procurement process. -Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
