Nurse A - Registered Nurse General Duty Nurse

Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care for Orthopedics. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training - Nursing diploma is acceptable - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Competencies - Communication skills - Decision making skills - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds - Ability to competently use computers and software applications - Experience in nursing services relating to the care of surgery patients - Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - Knowledge is commonly obtained through previous experience in Orthopedics. - Knowledge of nursing principles, methods and techniques in Orthopedics. - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice Other Information - Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) - For more information on the city of Saskatoon please visit https://www.saskatoon.ca/ About US The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
