A Diverse and Engaging Emergency Caseload Working in our Emergency department means no two shifts are the same. As an Emergency RVT, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of emergency patients while developing your skills in triage, diagnostics, treatment, monitoring, and critical care. Your responsibilities may include: Triaging emergency patients and obtaining thorough histories Performing and submitting laboratory samples Administering oral, IM, and IV medications Performing various treatments and diagnostics as directed by the Emergency DVM Supporting patient monitoring and ongoing nursing care Using independent judgment and initiative to respond to patient needs Communicating effectively with clients and the veterinary team Working closely with Emergency DVMs and other veterinary professionals to provide high-quality patient care We are also looking to hire technicians for both our 24/7 ICU and Emergency departments, providing opportunities to grow and develop your career within a highly advanced hospital environment. What We’re Looking For We are looking for an RVT who is: Registered with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians Experienced in emergency medicine, or interested in developing their emergency skills Able to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure Passionate about making a difference in the lives of pets and their families A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Comfortable using independent judgment and initiative Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays Emergency experience is an asset, but we are looking for technicians who are passionate about emergency and critical care and eager to grow their skills.
