Project Coordinator Intern - Victoria

We actively encourage students to ask questions, foster curiosity, and strive to jumpstart their careers in a challenging and engaging environment   About the Role:   Axiom Builders is excited to offer an internship opportunity with our Project Management team this Winter/Fall, we are open to a 4 or 8 month co-op term (January to August 2027)! You will be based on-site at our project just outside of Downtown Victoria.   The Project Coordinator Intern will learn how to coordinate the building process of a large 4 building wood frame project; boasting amazing views and convenient location in Victoria. Shadowing a Project Manager, the Project Coordinator Intern will learn all aspects of documentation control such as on-line document and drawing management, project scheduling, contract administration, package tendering, RFI’s, S.I.’s, suite changes, procurement process and material controls. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to see the construction site from the site trailer and observe the excitement and challenges of the building process firsthand. You will learn how to:   Communicate and document crucial project details to a team of subcontractors, clients, owners, architects, and other important project stakeholders Champion and influence the importance of site safety to all field staff and trade partners; Prepare project progress, data and productivity reports to senior management and clients; Organize all general and technical specifications, drawings and other construction documentation.   What you Bring:   Currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Strong communication; confidence and ability to communicate with all levels of management; A strong work ethic - eager to learn, resourceful, and committed; Academic experience in Procore, Excel and other construction related software; Some construction experience, especially on-site experience, will be considered an asset.
