Nurse A - Registered Nurse General Duty Nurse

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of safe client care. They provide direct client care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and indirect nursing care and services are provided in the following areas: pediatrics, medicine, critical care, palliation, surgery, post anesthesia care, obstetrics, operating room, emergency, outpatient, and Central Processing and Distribution, gerintology (LTC Nursing). Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Graduate from an approved School of Nursing Competencies - Verbal communication skills - Interpersonal skills - Problem solving skills - Organizational skills - Computer skills - Leadership skills - Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to implement, utilize & evaluate best practice models of client care - Ability to be self motivated - Ability to work as a member of a team - Knowledge in process of policy and procedure development - Policies, Procedures, Regulations and Legislation pertaining to area of practice - Ability and flexibility in adapting to changing situations and environments - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Responsible for accurate observation/documentation of patient related info. - Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development - Possess effective communication skills & ability to relate to all individuals -...
