About Aphex At Aphex (https://www.aphex.co/), we believe the best way to improve construction delivery is to give people the tools and time to do their jobs. That's why we're on a mission to transform how engineers and superintendents and site managers plan, communicate, and track their work every day. Our customers are the industry's giants - building the tunnels, roads, bridges, and power plants that define our cities. Our users are the engineers and project managers who make these projects happen. Since launching in the UK in 2019, we've become the dominant platform for infrastructure and major construction projects across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, with most of these countries' major infrastructure projects now running on Aphex. We're now expanding into North America - this is a founding role, joining some of the team relocating from our London office to launch the new office. We've already got clients on major infrastructure projects around Toronto, and strong product-market fit proven in three other markets. Construction contributes around 10% of global GDP yet has barely moved the needle on productivity in decades. We're changing that, and the market is responding. This is a genuinely exciting time to join: you'll be one of the first hires on the ground in North America, with real scope to shape how the office and playbook develop as we scale, and clear progression as the team grows.   The Role You've spent years on construction sites. You know what it's like when the Monday planning meeting falls apart, when the subcontractor schedule is three weeks out of date, and when nobody can tell you what's actually happening next week. You've lived that frustration. We need someone who's been on the other side of the hoarding to help our biggest accounts get the most out of Aphex and grow with us as we scale internationally. At Aphex, we believe deeply that we are in the business of successful construction project delivery. As an Account Manager, you'll embody this principle, focusing first on helping projects succeed, which naturally leads to enterprise growth and expansion opportunities. You'll join a high-performing go-to-market team of sales and customer success professionals, stepping into a pivotal Account Manager role. You will be one of the founding members of our North America team, working alongside some of the core members of our UK team who are relocating to Toronto to help launch our presence there. We've crafted and refined our playbooks in the UK to ensure you can transition smoothly, with the support and structure needed to excel. It's perfect for someone with a deep understanding of construction, eager to leverage their experience in a fast-moving and rewarding environment - and to help build something from the ground up.   What You'll Actually Do Your core job is to make projects succeed on Aphex. When projects succeed, the account grows - new divisions, new seats, new products. You own that cycle for your accounts. - Drive adoption on live projects - not from a distance, but by understanding how each team plans and helping them do it better with Aphex - Build relationships with senior stakeholders — Heads of Planning, Operations Directors, Digital Leads - the people who decide whether Aphex becomes the standard - Spot and create expansion opportunities - new divisions, new project types, new products like Aphex Diary - Work with and lead customer success managers to deliver great onboarding and activation for customers - Help customers build consistent operating processes across their projects so Aphex becomes how they work, not another tool to manage - Hit your numbers - quarterly and annual expansion targets, and you'll be expected to deliver - Help shape the North America playbook as one of the first people on the ground   Who This Is For - You've been on site for 5+ years - as a Superintendent, Site Supervisor, or Project Manager. You know how construction projects actually run, not how textbooks say they should. - You're ready for a change - not because you've failed in construction, but because you want to use everything you've learned differently. You want to work with technology, not against it. - You can hold a room. You're comfortable presenting to a Site Manager, a Head of Planning, or an Operations Director - because you've worked alongside people like them your whole career. - You take ownership. When something's yours, it's yours. You don't wait to be told what to do next. - You're excited by the idea of building a new market and office from the early days, not just joining an established team.   What We Offer - A real career change — you're not leaving construction, you're upgrading your role in it. The projects are still getting built. You're helping them get built better. - Higher earning potential — base plus variable, structured so strong performance pays meaningfully more than traditional construction roles. - A founding seat on our North America team, with genuine scope for progression as the office scales. - A team that gets it — be part of and contribute to a truly high-performing team. - Genuine development — constant training, coaching, and learning to get better every day. - One annual all-expenses-paid international team offsite (we've been to Vietnam and Thailand — where to next?) - $1,000 annual training allowance and access to our Emerging Leaders program - MindFi EAP access - Employee Referral Program   EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) STATEMENT Our company does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, or other non-merit factors. At Aphex, we believe our team should reflect the variety of perspectives in the world we build for. We've noticed that qualified candidates from underrepresented groups sometimes hesitate to apply unless they meet 100% of the listed requirements, while others might apply when meeting just 60%. If you're excited about Aphex and believe you have the core skills to succeed in this role, we encourage you to apply - even if you don't check every box in the description. Your unique perspective might be exactly what we need. If you need any accommodations during the interview process, please let us know.
