The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a nurse who has an advanced level of clinical nursing practice that maximizes the use of graduate educational preparation, in-depth nursing knowledge and expertise in meeting the health needs of individuals, families, groups, committees and populations. The Nurse Practitioner brings to patients a holistic approach to care, mental, physical and social. Practices independently within legislated scope of practice. This position will focus on support to geriatric patients with mental health needs residing in the community within the geographic catchment of Durham Region.
