Nurse A - Registered Nurse Registered Psych Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for promoting high quality care through assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating the total care needs of our patients/residents/clients (P/R/Cs). The RN is required to coordinate with all the departments within the facility, families and professionals associated with P/R/Cs care. The RN must promote effective communication in the facility through care given and reporting mechanisms. The RN is expected to participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to maintain their own professional competence. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses - Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training - BLS for Healthcare Provider (Level C) - Heart and Stroke - Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable - Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable - Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies - Basic - Decision making skills - Basic - Interpersonal skills - Basic - Computer skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - Ability to work with individuals from a variety of cultural & ethnic backgrounds - Ability to work independently - Ability to communicate with clients from diverse economic backgrounds - Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills - Ability to communica...
