Youth Mentors

- Build positive relationships with youth participants - Provide guidance and support to youth to set and achieve goals - Plan and facilitate educational and recreational activities - Assist youth accessing community resources - Promote positive behavior and coping skills - Serve as a positive role model for youth participants - Collaborate with other mentors and staff members to create a supportive environment Applicants must have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle. Rooted Connections requires all youth mentors to have 2 million third-party liability and clear Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check. Previous experience working or volunteering with youth is an asset. Other assets include; a level of comfort working with individuals living with differing abilities, knowledge of child development/trauma, ability to access local community programs/events, and recreational/ leisure activities for youth.
