Nurse A - Registered Nurse Registered Psych Nurse

The Registered Nurse A is responsible to the Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the SHA. As a member of the Nursing department, the Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centred care. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training - Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies - Organizational skills - Interpersonal skills - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - Ability to adapt to changing conditions - Ability to competently use computers and software applications - Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
