Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice

Hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment and sizes including loaders, excavators, skid steers, lifting equipment like zoom booms, etc. Large scale overhauls and rebuilds. Replacing components. Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults. Preventive maintenance and services. Complete work according to the manufacturers specifications. Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel. Interpret work orders and technical manuals. Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained. Diagnose faults or malfunctions. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations. Complete service reports. Minimum Requirements: Registered Apprentice (2nd Year to 4th year) in Heavy Duty Mechanic trade Experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and trucks.
