Director of Childcare

1.Accountable for day-to-day operations & decision making of the childcare centre 2.Accountable for overseeing employees & for the successful delivery of a high-quality early learning programming for children, while implementing the vision & principles of Play & Exploration such as: Early Learning Program Guide & the JUS Philosophy. 3.Responsible for ensuring all YMCA Playing to Learn program requirements are met while complying with the Ministry of Education Regulations & National YMCA Child Protection Standards. 4.Supports the professional development of employees & requires expertise, experience & skill with early learning principles & adult learning, in order to provide leadership & ensure positive outcomes for children. Job Requirements: ECE Level III Certification preferred or ECE Level II with a commitment to further education. Minimum 3-5 years childcare experience & managing a team. Exceptional communication skills & interpersonal skills. Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to first day of work & dated no more than 3 months before hire date.
