Nurse A - Registered Nurse Registered Psych Nurse

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) is accountable for promoting high quality care through assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating the total care needs of our patients/residents/clients (P/R/Cs). The RN/RPN is required to coordinate with all the departments within the facility, families and professionals associated with P/R/Cs care. The RN/RPN must promote effective communication in the facility through care given and reporting mechanisms. The RN/RPN is expected to participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to maintain their own professional competence. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training - Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable - Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) - Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies - Basic - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to make decisions on patient care and coordination of equipment - Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice - Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds - Ability to competently use computers and software applications - Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Other Information - Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS - May be eligi...
