ABOUT SLIDE Slide is a modern, security-first Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) company built exclusively for Managed Service Providers. Founded by Austin McChord (Datto Founder & former CEO) and Michael Fass (former Datto General Counsel & Chief People Officer), Slide is led by a team of industry veterans with deep expertise in backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity. Built from scratch, from a clean-room code base, free from legacy technical debt, to deliver the MSP-centric backup and recovery platform of the future. By focusing on security, performance, and simplicity, Slide provides a powerful, cost-effective, and easy-to-use solution that ensures MSPs can protect their clients’ data without the constraints of outdated technology and restrictive pricing models. ABOUT THE JOB Location: Remote, Canada. French language skills are a nice-to-have. As a Sales Representative and “Hunter” at Slide, you will be responsible for bringing new Managed Service Providers (MSPs) into the Slide partner community. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through demo, negotiation, and close, selling our modern, security-first, appliance-based Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solution to MSPs who are ready for something better than what they use today. This role is for someone who loves the hunt and wants to help build something. You will work closely with our SDRs, Solutions Engineers, Account Managers, and Marketing team to turn interest into long-term partnerships, and you will do it with integrity, transparency, and a focus on doing right by the partner. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of empathy, teamwork, getting stuff done, openness, doing the right thing, and doing their life's work. RESPONSIBILITIES - Own the full sales cycle for net-new MSP partners, from prospecting and qualification through discovery, demo, evaluation, negotiation, and close. - Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, and inbound leads qualified by our SDR team. - Run discovery conversations that uncover how prospective partners protect their clients today, where their current backup solution falls short, and what moving to Slide would mean for their business. - Deliver compelling demos of the Slide platform, and partner with Solutions Engineers on technical deep dives and evaluations. - Lead competitive conversations with MSPs using other BCDR vendors, clearly and honestly articulating Slide's advantages in security, performance, simplicity, and pricing. - Negotiate and close new partner agreements, driving collaboration across the full partner lifecycle with SDRs, Solutions Engineering, Account Management, Support, and Marketing to win deals and set partners up for long-term success. - Represent Slide at trade shows, industry events, and MSP peer groups to build relationships and generate pipeline, as needed. - Consistently meet or exceed quarterly new-partner and revenue targets. - Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecast data in HubSpot. - Stay up-to-date on Slide's products, industry trends, and competitor offerings. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 3+ years of full-cycle, new-business sales experience in B2B technology, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota. - Experience selling to MSPs or within the IT channel is strongly preferred. - Understanding of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR), backup, or cybersecurity concepts is a plus. - Comfort running product demos and explaining technical solutions in clear business terms. - A natural relationship builder who earns rapport and trust quickly with MSP owners and technical decision-makers. - Integrity in the sales process: you sell honestly, set clear expectations, and over-deliver. - You are self-motivated, results-oriented, and energized by building pipeline from scratch. - Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. - Strong time management and organizational skills, with experience managing a pipeline in a CRM (HubSpot preferred). - A collaborative teammate who thrives both independently and as part of a fast-moving sales team. - Uses AI and modern sales tools to improve prospecting, account research, and productivity. - Willingness to travel for partner meetings, events, and conferences, as needed. BENEFITS - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. - Paid Time Off: Generous paid time off and holiday schedule. - Professional Development: Opportunities for training and professional growth. - The opportunity to do your life's work in a dynamic and creative environment with like-minded individuals.
