Respiratory Therapist Diploma

Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for general and specialized respiratory care in the assigned areas, as well as assisting with special projects and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment. The incumbent will promote the delivery of patient centred care through the application of professional standards. The position will have specific responsibilities related to patient needs and clinical knowledge. Human Resources Exemption: No Licenses - Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS) - Valid Class 5 driver's license Education - Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy training program accredited by the CSRT - Successful completion of an exam approved by the CSRT Competencies - Communication skills - Interpersonal skills - Judgement Skills - Demonstrates ability to show initiative and self-direction.
