Youth Mentor

Implement programming in a school & small group setting. Creating & facilitating interactive workshops for a small group of male youth ages 6-15. Building relationships & providing mentorship to male youth referred to YMCA Mentorship Program Comply with all YMCA Child Protection Policy & Procedures & complete all Child Protection Training as required. Communicating program success & activities to program participants, their family & through the Y network. Requirements: Ability to build relationships & work with male youth is an asset, especially those with challenging behaviours Self-motivated & be able to work independently as well as part of a small team. Experience & interest working with male youth & lessons/program planning Demonstrate the ability to be a positive role model, mentor & authentic leader Good communication skills & interpersonal skills. Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to first day of work & dated no more than 3 months before hire date Updated CPR & First Aid upon start date. Valid driving licence.
