Nurse Practitioner

In collaboration with the health team, the primary health nurse will provide primary health services to the community. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) - Undergraduate degree or diploma in Registered Nurse Licenses - Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C) Other Education and Training - Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program required Competencies - Advanced - Leadership skills - Advanced - Decision making skills - Advanced - Organizational skills - Advanced - Research skills - Advanced - Problem solving skills - Advanced - Communication skills - Advanced - Facilitation skills Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions - Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs - Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills Other Information - Travel within the region and provincially - Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP) - For more information on the city of Estevan pl...
