Financial Analyst - 2 Year Term

Assist with operating and capital budgets, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and budget monitoring; prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, capital asset and project accounting; support compliance with PSAS, municipal legislation, financial policies, and internal controls; prepare reports for Council, Committees, management, and departments; provide financial guidance and support process improvements. Key Competencies: Analytical thinking and problem-solving; accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail; confidentiality and integrity; strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills. Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field; minimum five years' experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, or related work; CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program is an asset; municipal experience is an asset; satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, capital accounting, reserve management, and financial reporting; working knowledge of PSAS is an asset; ability to communicate financial information effectively; proficiency with financial and business software applications.
