Nurse A - Registered Nurse General Duty Nurse

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of safe client care. They provide direct client care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and indirect nursing care and services are provided in the following areas: pediatrics, medicine, critical care, palliation, surgery, post anesthesia care, obstetrics, operating room, emergency, outpatient, and Central Processing and Distribution, gerintology (LTC Nursing). Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Graduate from an approved School of Nursing Competencies - Problem solving skills - Organizational skills - Leadership skills - Interpersonal skills - Verbal communication skills - Computer skills - Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities - Policies, Procedures, Regulations and Legislation pertaining to area of practice - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to implement, utilize & evaluate best practice models of client care - Knowledge in process of policy and procedure development - Ability to be self motivated - Ability to work as a member of a team - Possess effective communication skills & ability to relate to all individuals - Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development - Ability and flexibility in adapting to changing situations and environments - Responsible for accurate observation/documentation of patient related info. - Ability to lead/encourage/advis...
