Social Worker Degree

The Social Worker BSW reports directly to the Manager of Social Work. The Social Worker BSW is responsible to identify, assess, intervene, and follow-up with patients in the Hemodialysis Unit, and the Chemotherapy Outreach Program at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. The Social Worker BSW will also provide for social, emotional, and cultural needs of patients in these programs. Other duties as assigned. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - 1 year experience in Social Work Education - Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Memberships - Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) Competencies - Basic - Writing skills - Basic - Decision making skills - Basic - Problem solving skills - Basic - Verbal communication skills - Crisis management skills - Basic - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to work independently - Knowledge in individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods - Positive approach to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity - Knowledge in social work philosophy and goals - Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development Other Information - Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) - For more information on the city of Yorkton please visit https:/...
