We combine decades of nuclear operation expertise with AI, digital tools, and lean processes, to help plants run safer, smarter, and more cost-effectively. Our Digital Transformation team scales this expertise through both NPX-developed and industry-leading products, delivering solutions to clients across Canada, the U.S., and globally. 🧠 THE ROLE We’re looking for a Data Analyst to turn complex operational data into reporting that nuclear clients rely on. You’ll build pipelines in Databricks, shape the data into solid models, and design Power BI dashboards that give plant and project teams a clear, trusted view of how their work is performing. You’ll work directly with clients and alongside our developers, product managers, and designers, owning your work from the first requirements conversation through to a dashboard people actually use. Location: Hybrid (Travel to client sites in Bruce County or Durham region 1-2 times per month, or as required by project needs) Salary Range: $105-135k (Exact compensation may vary). 🎯 WHAT YOU’LL DRIVE - Collaborate with clients to understand how they work and what they need to know, then turn that into clear reporting requirements and a practical technical approach. - Build and maintain data pipelines in Databricks that bring data from client systems together into clean, reliable, well-documented models. - Design Power BI dashboards and reports with sound data models, efficient DAX, and the right access controls. - Work with software developers, product managers, product designers, and client IT teams to integrate, deploy, and improve solutions. - Keep improving what’s already in place, from dashboard performance and data quality to pipeline reliability and usability. 🧰 WHAT YOU BRING - Power BI experience: You’ve built and published Power BI reports used by real stakeholders, including data modelling, DAX, row-level security, and managing workspaces or deployment pipelines. - Databricks experience: You’re comfortable working in Databricks notebooks with SQL and Python or PySpark, and you understand Delta Lake and how data moves from raw to reporting-ready (for example, medallion architecture). - Strong data fundamentals: You can clean, join, and validate messy data, and you check your numbers before anyone else has to. - Clear communication: You can explain what the data shows to a plant manager, a subject matter expert, or a developer, and you ask the right questions when requirements are unclear. - Ownership: You take work from scoping through delivery and care about whether it makes a real difference for the client. ➕ NICE TO HAVE - Experience with the wider Azure data ecosystem, such as Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Unity Catalog, or Purview. - Exposure to lakehouse design and data platform architecture decisions. - Experience in nuclear, energy, or another regulated industry. - Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) or Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate. 💙 WHY NPX - Work that matters: Your analysis helps keep clean, reliable nuclear power running and supports the next generation of new nuclear. - Flexibility: Flexible hours and a hybrid model, so you can plan your work around your life and your clients’ schedules. - Learn from the inside: Work alongside nuclear industry veterans, data specialists, and developers who know how plants really operate. - Our culture: Innovation in everything we do, honest feedback, and a team where You Are Safe Here. 🌿 WHAT YOU’LL FIND HERE To do great work, you need to be well in mind, body, and soul. At NPX, we design our environment around the whole person, not just the job they do. - 🧠 Mind: Tools and support for mental wellness, professional growth, and financial security. - 🧘‍♀️ Body: Health coverage, a spending account, and the freedom to rest and recharge. - 🌀 Soul: Meaningful work, alignment with your values, and time to refresh with time off. - 💰👀 Financial wellbeing? Covered. That means competitive pay and recognition for the impact you make.
