Licensed Practical Nurse- Part Time

Provide safe, person-centred nursing care within the LPN scope of practice; monitor residents and promptly report changes in health status; assist with assessments, care planning and specialized care; review and maintain resident charts, care plans, progress notes, medication records and incident reports; support safe medication administration in accordance with training, policies and applicable requirements; coordinate with pharmacy and healthcare providers regarding resident care and medication concerns; guide and support Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) and care staff; participate in NP visits and follow up on recommendations; support wound care, mobility, falls prevention, infection prevention and other resident-care needs as applicable; communicate with residents, families and healthcare professionals; provide clinical guidance to care staff within scope; and appropriately escalate changes in resident condition. Current LPN registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan (CLPNS). Recognized Practical Nursing diploma/program required. Current First Aid/BLS/CPR certification. Experience in long-term care, personal care homes, seniors' care or a related setting is preferred. Strong clinical observation, communication, documentation and organizational skills required. Must demonstrate compassion, professionalism, confidentiality and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
