Ice Skating Instructor

Must be 16 years of age or older Experience working with children ages 3 to 9 is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of the fundamental skills of skating The ability to lead a group of children in a structured activity Past involvement and participation in ice skating sports is an asset. CPR/SFA certification is an asset Cannot currently be employed by City of Saskatoon. Instructor Duties and Expectations: Instructors must have the ability to arrive 10 minutes prior to the class starting to set up and 10 minutes after the class to clean up. Consistent attendance for the entirety of the 8 week classes. Communicate with the recreation technician about any attendance concerns. Travel to various rinks throughout the city, arrive on time and set up for the lesson. Instruct a group of children based on criteria provided. Prepare lesson plans for classes that reflect the level of the participants. Provide constructive feedback throughout the lesson set to the participant and parents.
