Social Worker Degree

Under the direction of the manager, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker BSW provides a range of screening, triage, treatment, and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Licenses - Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies - Communication skills - Basic - Computer skills - Problem solving skills - Interpersonal skills - Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge in best practices in addictions and harm reduction strategies - Ability to formulate evidence-based intervention based on clinical presentation - Knowledge of assessment, triage, treatment and case management. - Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies - Cultural awareness in required - Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure - Understanding social determinants of health for program development & delivery - Knowledge and skill in community outreach and crisis interventions - Knowledge of Recovery Philosophy - Ability to provide public/educational presentations - Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems - Ability to establish workload priorities. - Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Standards and application of such - Public relation skills wit...
