Hours per week:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Varies, based on operational needs
Compensation:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; $19.00 per hour
Position Purpose:
The AMS UBC&rsquo;s Student Union is looking for fun, outgoing, and diverse students to join our Student Engagement Team! The Engagement Team is the face of the AMS when we&rsquo;re out at campus events, boothing for a campaign, running an activity and more.
Team members need to be friendly, energetic, confident working independently and in team environments, have great communication skills, be able to think on their feet, and adapt to a variety of situations. This is a casual, on-call role that involves a variety of shifts including some weeknights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the set up and tear down of events including equipment like tents, PA systems and tables and chairs
Coordinating with other Engagement Team members on various tasks
Animating crowds, attracting attention, engaging, and interacting with students
Running on site contests and handing out swag
Running short surveys
Taking photos and posting on social media
Other related duties as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Registered as a current UBC student
Energetic and outgoing personality
Self-motivated, dependable, and punctual
Excellent communication and social skills
Possess the maturity to work without supervision in an independent setting
Able to work effectively within team environments
Available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends
