Nurse B - Registered Nurse

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Nursing Unit Coordinator (NUC) will be responsible for ensuring the day to day operations and the resident flow of the Long Term Care Facility, and for developing and fostering an Eden resident centered care environment. The incumbent will facilitate the encouragement of critical thinking skills of the nursing staff as they are fostered to work to their full scope of practice. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience - Experience in change management - Minimum of three (3) years relevant long term care nursing experience - Experience in gerontology is an asset Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate (CPR) Competencies - Demonstrate Leadership and organizational skills - Advanced - Computer skills - Interpersonal skills - Advanced - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities - Requires sound knowledge of nursing process - Ability to develop & maintain consulting relationships in multidisciplinary team - Ability to conduct information searches, analysis and literature reviews About US The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
