Nurse B - Registered Nurse

Competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status. Demonstrates a caring approach which reflects and incorporates expertise. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - Exp in the last 5 yrs with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders - Exp in the last 5 years in psychiatric assessment & intervention required - 2 yrs exp in Acute Psych or Comm. Mental Health nursing or a combo of the two. Education - Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) Other Education and Training - Basic CPR, ASSIST preferred - Nursing diploma is acceptable - Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable - Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies - Advanced - Planning skills - Advanced - Interpersonal skills - Advanced - Organizational skills - Advanced - Assessment skills Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge of human growth, development and human behavior. - Knowledge of psychopathology and the family life cycle and systems theory. - Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - Knowledge in applicable health promotion and health prevention initiatives - Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients - Ability to adapt to changing conditions - Knowledge in mental health and mental illness across...
