MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders. In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions https://adsknews.autodesk.com/en/views/inside-autodesk-operations-solutions/, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours. MaintainX is the world's leading AI-powered maintenance and asset management platform, serving 13,000+ customers including Duracell, Shell, Cintas, and Brenntag. We raised $150M in Series D funding https://www.getmaintainx.com/newsroom/maintainx-raises-150m led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Bain Capital Ventures, bringing our total funding to $254M. We were named to the Forbes 2025 Cloud 100 https://www.getmaintainx.com/blog/maintainx-named-to-2025-forbes-cloud-100, the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world. We're growing fast and hiring the Engineering talent to match. The team and the mission You'd be joining our Backend team within the Platform Engineering division. We're a group with an unusual mandate inside MaintainX: we treat our internal developer platform as a real product, with internal customers (150+ developers), adoption metrics, and a roadmap shaped by what product teams actually need. We are not an ops team. The platform we're building today exists to answer one question: how do we keep MaintainX engineers shipping fast as the org grows from where we are now to 2-3x the size? Today, spinning up a new backend service, getting it to production, and operating it involves too many manual steps, too much tribal knowledge, and too many decisions each team makes in isolation. We want golden paths that make the right thing the easy thing. What you’ll do:  - Design, build, and maintain backend foundations and tooling powering our internal developer platform. - Bring AI native and add on workflows into your daily work and into the platform. - Raise engineering excellence standards. - Lead to the consolidation and evolution of platform primitives: developer portal, local development, domain-service templates and scaffolders, graphQL, event-driven, openAPI golden paths and CI/CD workflows. - Collaborate with other platform teams and product development teams on defining and adopting the internal developer platform. About you: - 5+ years of distributed systems experience - Expert in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar languages. - Proficient designing, maintaining, and evolving GraphQL APIs at scale. - Strong AI mindset - Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. - A product mindset: ability to build a platform with and for internal customers. What’s in it for you: - Competitive salary and meaningful equity opportunities. - Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage. - 401(k) / RRSP enrollment program. - Take what you need PTO. - A Work Culture https://crew.vc/perspectives-insights/scaling-culture-through-hyper-growth/ where: - You’ll work alongside folks across the globe that reflect the MaintainX values, Smart Humble Optimist. - We believe in meritocracy, where ideas and effort are publicly celebrated. About us: Our mission is to deliver one platform for maintenance, repair & operations teams to keep the physical world running. We believe the greatest asset in any organization is the people.
