Emergency Medical Technician

The Emergency Medical Technician-PCP is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP) Licenses - Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED) - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) - Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP) - Valid Class 4 driver's license - International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to work independently - Physical ability to perform the duties of the position - Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Other Information - Cabri is located approximately 66 km west of Swift Current - May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives - Standard Hours - For more information on the town of Cabri please visit http://cabri.ca/contact-us/ - Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level - Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
