Nurse A - Registered Nurse General Duty Nurse

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of safe client care. They provide direct client care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and indirect nursing care and services are provided in the following areas: pediatrics, medicine, critical care, palliation, surgery, post anesthesia care, obstetrics, operating room, emergency, outpatient, and Central Processing and Distribution, gerintology (LTC Nursing). Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Graduate from an approved School of Nursing Competencies - Organizational skills - Conflict resolution skills - Verbal communication skills - Computer skills - Problem solving skills - Leadership skills - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to implement, utilize & evaluate best practice models of client care - Possess effective communication skills & ability to relate to all individuals - Ability to be self motivated - Responsible for accurate observation/documentation of patient related info. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to lead/encourage/advise/collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals - Knowledge in process of policy and procedure development - Policies, Procedures, Regulations and Legislation pertaining to area of practice - Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional developme...
