Nurse A - Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse A is responsible to The Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. As a member of The Nursing Department, The Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - 3 years acute care nursing including 1 year recent Emergency nursing required Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) - Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification. Other Education and Training - Required to complete an Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners training - Required to be SANE certified and maintain that certification - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) - Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desired Competencies - Capability to lead self: Demonstrates character - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice - Sound clinical judgment skills - Ability to work in a team environment Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to perform technical emergency nursing duties with skill and competence - Ability to deal tactfully, non-judgmentally and effectively with people - Ability to maintain a positive attitude...
