Nurse B - Patient Care Supervisor

The Nurse - Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and service provision to the client/residents within the continuing care home. As an experienced practitioner, the Resident Care Coordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, coordination of resident care, and support and teaching to the resident care team (including staff, residents, and residents support team) within a collaborative environment. The routine procedures are generally predetermined but critical thinking and independent judgment is an integral part of the position. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing Licenses - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Experience - Minimum of two (2) years relevant long term care nursing experience Other Education and Training - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Competencies - Communication skills - Computer skills Knowledge & Abilities - Ability to take initiative - Knowledge in change management - Knowledge of how to coach for performance - Develop, implement, and refine client safety initiatives on a continual basis - Ability to be adaptable, build trust, provide coaching and mentorship - Knowledge in applicable best practices and principles for the clinical area - Strong teaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
