Nurse B - Clinical Coordinator

The Clinical Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, is primarily accountable for the system navigation and coordination of patient flow on the nursing unit. This is achieved by the Coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow of the unit. Duties include bed management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient/family, identifying supply and equipment needs and assisting with staff scheduling. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - Supervisory experience is an asset - Five (5) years acute care nursing experience Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) - Critical Care Nursing certificate (CCN) - Nursing diploma Other Education and Training - ACLS training required upon hire - Current CPR certification Competencies - Judgement Skills - Decision making skills - Conflict resolution skills - Communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills. - Teaching skills - Leadership skills such as engagement, communication, and team building - Critical thinking skills - Computer skills - Capability to transform systems: Demonstrate systems/critical thinking Other Information - Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) - May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives - Scheduled hours of work may be reduced when a statutory holiday is recognized About US The Saskatchewan Health A...
