Nurse B - Public Health Nurse

Public health nursing provides services that include postnatal care; childhood, school, and adult immunizations; client and staff education/orientation; influenza programming; communicable disease follow-up; and travel health services. This position will include a work assignment of a subset of these services. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - One year experience as a Public Health Nurse or Immunization Nurse is an asset Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses - Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies - Advanced - Communication skills - Advanced - Interpersonal skills - Advanced - Organizational skills - Advanced - Assessment skills - Advanced - Change management skills Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge in population and public health concepts - Ability to adapt to changing conditions - Ability to competently use computers and software applications Other Information - Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) - May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives - Travel within the region and provincially - Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) - For more information on the city of Meadow Lake please visit https://www.meadowlake.ca/ - Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
