Social Worker Degree

Under the direction of the Manager, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker BSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - Experience working with mental health and addiction community outreach Education - Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Licenses - Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies - Cultural competency - Computer skills Knowledge and Abilities - Exp. in mental health & addictions community outreach & crisis interventions - Ability to provide public/educational presentations - Knowledge of Recovery Philosophy - Highly developed written and oral communication skills - Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships - Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure - Ability to formulate evidence-based intervention based on clinical presentation - Public relation skills with the ability to maintain effective work relationships - Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution skills - Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner. - Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups - Ability to work in a multidisciplinary s...
