Septic Service/Operator

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks; Operate vehicle for residential services as per requirements and demand; Clean trucks as scheduled and/or required; Advise the Public Works Manager of any requirements for maintenance or repairs; Maintain daily records of collection services; Pump out septic tanks of residential buildings, businesses, and other facilities; Dispose of sewage according to set policies and procedures; Keep equipment clean as per established standards; Perform other related duties. Knowledge of truck and safety equipment; Knowledge of sewage collection and disposal; Knowledge of sewage pump out procedures; Valid Class IA driver's license is an asset; Other: Physical work environment outside, at times in extreme cold and heat; Exposed to unpleasant sights and smells; May be required to work on a rotation or on-call; Must possess a current valid Saskatchewan drivers licence and reliable vehicle; As a condition of employment must provide: oA satisfactory and current Criminal Record Check, oSGI Drivers Abstract; and oComply with Fit for Duty policy and participate in mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
