Are you passionate about dogs, enjoy working with people, and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of rescue dogs? We’re looking for a dedicated, organized, and compassionate Foster Coordinator to join our team! As Foster Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in recruiting, supporting, and building relationships with foster families to ensure every dog receives the care, guidance, and temporary home they need while waiting for their forever family. 🐶 What You’ll Do Recruit, interview, train, and mentor new foster volunteers. Build strong, positive relationships with our foster families and provide ongoing support. Work closely with the Intake Coordinator, Assistant Foster Coordinator, and Adoption Coordinator to match dogs with suitable foster homes and address behavioural concerns. Communicate regularly with foster families to ensure they have the resources and support they need. Help write engaging dog biographies for our website and social media. Maintain records and update Google Docs regularly. Provide volunteer updates and participate in quarterly meetings with the Board and Coordinators. ❤️ What We’re Looking For A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to animal rescue. Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up abilities. Someone who is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working independently. The ability to prioritize concerns and handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email. Familiarity with Google Docs and an understanding of dog behaviour are definite assets. ⏰ Time Commitment Approximately 1 hour per day , although the time required may vary from week to week. Flexibility is essential, as some situations may require timely attention.
