Harm Reduction Community Service Worker

Develop rapport and build trust with people who access services. Provide internal and external referrals to other medical and social services. Assist with centres general services to public and monitoring of waiting area. Welcome and greet people entering the centre. Answer phone calls and inquiries. Maintain hygienic, safe environment by following infection control procedures. First Aid with CPR and AED. Certificate or Diploma in mental health or addictions are considered assets. Combination of relevant work and lived experience considered equally to education. Professional Assault Response Training (PART), ASIST, WHIMIS, TLR, TDG certifications are considered assets. (Training is available) Thorough understanding and commitment to Harm Reduction. Thorough understanding of and experience working in programs serving clients with complex social needs including homelessness, mental health issues, addictions, and history of trauma. Knowledge of various social, cultural, mental health and addiction support services available in the city of Regina. Good judgement, discretion, and communication skills.
