Service & Warranty Technician

Conduct service calls and recognize warranty responsibilities. Complete service checklists at 30, 180 day and 1 year and fix any items that need attention. Explain to customer why these items need to be checked. Where possible, resolve warranty issues on the spot, otherwise prepare Service Request, provide to Warranty Manager for review and assign trades for follow up. Manage client expectations by explaining what is covered by warranty. Provide service work to show homes and completed spec homes. Operate a company vehicle and stock with required inventory. Complete Vehicle Maintenance Report on a monthly basis. Ensure regular oil changes are performed and complete service requests as needed. Resolve problems/issues in an effective and timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Skills Required: 5 years of experience in performing all finishing aspects of residential construction. Good understanding of home mechanics including appliances, plumbing, heating, HVAC, flooring, structural elements, house wrap and vapour barrier. Valid drivers license, insurable by North Ridge. Self-motivated. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient time management and organizational skills. Customer-focused and customer-driven. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions from hot to cold We are seeking local candidates for this position and will not consider those who require relocation.
